The first pitching session for the new angel syndicate, Gabriel Investments, is fast approaching. On the 15th of May, our Investors will hear the fresh business ideas of the four start-up companies and they will decide which one will be getting the initial investment, support and mentoring necessary for their successful development.

The four companies competing in the pitching session are:

  • Pest control technology business, Xeroshield.
  • On-line learning company, Klik2learn.
  • Life science firm, Biogel.
  • Software specialist, Cosneta.

Each of these companies will be put before the Gabriel syndicate to present their 30 minute presentations with the winning company securing the initial investment, being selected that same day.

The company chosen to be invested in will not only receive the funding but will be put through a fast track accelerator programme, have a mentor attached to their company for 6 months and will also benefit from a virtual office and book keeping services in order to assist with their every need.

Gabriel Investments aim to support five companies in year one and investments will be for £20,000 in order to attract matching funding from Scottish Enterprise.  The goal is to double this deal by years two and three.

Best wishes to the four companies competing!
